Rumba Water Extension Project – Officially Handed Over!
Today marks a milestone worth celebrating! We officially handed over the Rumba Water Extension Project, bringing clean drinking water to over 600 people across 60 households in the Rumba community.
This project is the fruit of shared vision, mobilised support, and true community ownership. Just a year ago, during CASA Gambia’s first-ever Mobilising Support Training powered by Change the Game Academy, Rumba was selected as a case study. Fast forward, that vision is now a reality. With support from CASA Gambia, the strong partnership of Mama Africa for Gambia Foundation, and the unwavering commitment of the Rumba community, this initiative has transformed from scarcity to sustainability.
Special Thanks To:
☑️The Rumba community – for leading with determination and ownership
☑️Mama Africa for Gambia Foundation – for the initiation and on-the-ground partnership and implementation
☑️Change the Game Academy for equipping us with powerful tools
☑️CASA Gambia Team – for relentless commitment to grassroots empowerment

This is what sustainable, community-led change looks like: when local voices are heard, capacity is built, and collective action drives impact. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do – for the love of our communities.
