The official handing over of the newly constructed markets in Jamwelly, Brufut New Town, and Tintinto was a memorable success! Community members expressed deep gratitude for this development, noting how these markets will greatly enhance women’s economic empowerment and support families across the communities.
One woman from Tintinto shared how the long walking distance to the main highway market- due to lack of transportation- made daily life difficult. “Having a market right at our doorstep is a lifetime relief. We are truly grateful to the partners who made this possible.”
Another resident from Jamwelly described the new market as “a dream come true.” She emphasized how essential it will be in supporting women’s livelihoods and helping them provide for their children and families.
